TALKS about the future for the site of a York secondary school which will close in the summer are to be held this weekend.
Burnholme Community College, the city’s smallest secondary school, will shut at the end of the current school year because of falling pupil numbers, despite a campaign to save it.
City of York Council will hold a drop-in consultation event at the college between 11am and 3pm on Saturday, with residents being asked to give their views on what should happen to the site.
Council officials have said options could include housing, a health centre or a community facility.
