TV doctor Lord Robert Winston will visit York later this month to take part in York Literature Festival 2014.
The surgeon, who won an award when working as a theatre director, is famous for presenting television programmes including Superhuman, The Human Body and Child of Our Time.
He will take part in an onstage conversation with the headmaster of St Peter’s School, York, Leo Winkley, on March 31 at York Theatre Royal, and will also take part in a book signing session.
He began his career in the 1960s as a surgeon specialising in reproductive surgery and has also worked in gynaecology.
