Have to oppose cuts
I AGREE with Cllr Lynn Jeffries that any cuts to adult social care are a real regret (Letters, March 7).
She fails to note, of course, that the cuts councils of all persuasions are having to make across the country are due to swingeing cuts to local government funding from Whitehall, leavng councillors having to think the unthinkable.
As Cllr Jeffries seems so concerned, I presume she will also be marching and demonstrating in York for A Better Way; a fairer way. I do hope to see her there, and not at the Lib Dem conference itself where any presence by York Lib Dems will only confirm their acceptance of such cuts on adult social care and more.
