OFFENDERS and voluntary groups will join council teams in giving York a spring clean from next week.
Tasks including picking up litter and repairing fences will be carried out during the scheme, involving City of York Council, North Yorkshire Probation Service’s Community Payback team and volunteers.
The first areas to be cleaned up are Clifton, Rawcliffe and Clifton Without from next Monday, including Ashton Park and Crombie Park.
Dringhouses and Woodthorpe will be cleaned between March 24 and 30, and residents can recommended areas needing attention by emailing york.gov.uk/springclean.
