AN uphill struggle faces York-based golf star Simon Dyson if he is to advance into the weekend rounds of the Trophée Hassan II tournament in Morocco.
Dyson suffered a shocking opening nine holes in yesterday’s first round, but when his return to the European Tour after a fortnight looked to be falling around him, the 36-year-old countered with a vigorous vengeance.
He started today at one-over-par, a far cry from being five-over after two double-bogey sevens on the first and fifth and a bogey on the fourth.
However, Dyson dropped just one more shot amid five birdies, including four over the final nine.
