BOLD and innovative solutions for combating flash flooding will be rewarded as part of an Environmental Agency initiative.
Students from across the north of England will gather in Leeds on Wednesday to showcase ideas at the Flash Flooding Challenge. It will provide a chance for the 18 entrants to attract interest in their ideas, while three will receive a financial prize.
Sam Billington, project manager at the Environment Agency, said: “It’s rewarding to be involved in a project seeking to better protect communities.
