Ee bah gum lad, keep thi’ sen calm Mr Robb, put t’kettle on, make a nice cuppa and snaffle yer favourite piece a’ cake while I put raight wha’ I meant.

Nah then. Yer don’t get owt for nowt Mr Robb. And placing this good old Yorkshire advice into an EU context the fools that rule need to put more into people’s pockets as yer also can’t get owt from nowt.

In other words people need adequate disposable income.

Because if we aint got nowt to spend we can’t buy owt, now can we Mr Robb?

The EU could set a percentile scale for debt relief of one to 100 weighted against each nations wealth creating a hierarchy of prosperity.

Tapered debt relief without austerity can then be applied to each EU nation. For example the poorest would receive 100 per cent of debt relief on said scale.

This debt relief, together with graduated taxation, can include replacing most benefits and pensions with citizens payments, fair rent and enough housing.

Just like ordinary Yorkshire folk the working class in the EU don’t need much but the kindness of debt relief and altruistic policies alleviating worthlessness, homelessness, hunger and poverty.
