THIS week’s glorious sunshine has caused daffodils to bloom in York’s Museum Gardens – and there’s some more sun on the way in coming days.
Weathermen said the sun was expected to come out this afternoon in York after a cloudy morning, and there should be further sunny weather tomorrow and on Monday, particularly in the east of the region. However, strong breezes will make it feel a little colder and the weather looks set to break next week, with some light rain expected on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The unusually mild weather has caused bookmakers to slash the odds of the March temperature record of 25.6C (78F) being broken this year.
