THE Voice star Beth McCarthy met some of her biggest fans when she dropped in on a York Rainbows group last week.
The York singing sensation visited the 2nd Rawcliffe Rainbows at their meeting at St Mark's Church on Wednesday, March 12, and performed for the children.
Joint leader Dawn Parker said: "The Rainbows are all huge The Voice fans so they were all very excited.
"She was great, she sang the song she auditioned with, and all the girls got a hug and their picture taken with her."
The visit was organised by one of the Rainbows' parents, who are family friends of Beth.
A lot of the Rawcliffe Rainbows go to Clifton-with-Rawcliffe School, and met Beth when she visited the school around a fortnight ago. They presented her with a thank you card when she dropped in on the Rainbows.
The whole pack was cheering Beth on when she competed to stay in the competition over the weekend, Dawn added.
