FORTUNATELY Sharon Watt isn’t a politician and when she says something will be done it is done.
Sharon broke her back, had to learn to walk again and overcame ovarian cancer, which might have proved insurmountable odds to some.
But not Sharon, who will take part in a prestigious nine furlong amateur horse race at York Racecourse in June to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Best of all Sharon has pledged at least £2,500 to the charity when she takes to the saddle. Good for her and the 11 other riders chosen. They all know how to keep a promise.
