BIKE-RIDING BBC presenters Harry Gration and Amy Garcia stopped off in York yesterday as their gruelling pedalpowered journey across Yorkshire continued.
The Look North duo’s Tandem “Tour de Yorkshire”
in aid of Sport Relief began last Friday and will see them tackle every hill professional cyclists will face when the opening stages of the Tour de France come to the county in July.
Their 241-mile ride yesterday brought them to York - Harry’s home town - and also takes in Ripon, Harrogate and Knaresborough as well as West and South Yorkshire. They will cross the finish line in Sheffield on Friday, having paused at various locations en route to grab a breather, chat to schools and businesses and collect donations.
Their full route and timings are at facebook.com/BBCLookNorthYorkshire
Donations can be made by texting BIKE to 70011, with £1 per text going to Sport Relief.
