I WAS not born or bred in York but as an incomer of 48 years, I loved the history and city of York and was a voluntary city guide for many years.
Reading B Pettit’s letter (Lost Heritage, The Press, March 12) I agree with what she says. It is like the words of the song: “They don’t know what they’ve got till its gone, they sold paradise and put up a parking lot.”
