TWO long-serving members of the Royal British Legion in York have been honoured.
Major John Jessop received a bar to his 30 years’ service medal, representing a further five years, at a meeting of the Fulford and District branch, while Ian Smith was also presented with a medal for three decades of service.
The awards were presented by branch president Derek Thornton and the Reverend Terrence McDonough, branch padre and honorary president.
