YORK's hospital charity is planning a dreamy fundraiser amid the locomotives at the National Railway Museum this midsummer.
The York Teaching Hospital Charity will be holding a Midsummer Night's Ball at the museum on Saturday, June 21, and tickets have gone on sale.
The event will be hosted by Radio York presenter Elly Fiorentini.
It will start at 6.30pm with a drinks reception, followed by a three-course, sit-down meal which will start at 7.30pm. The ball will finish at midnight.
The event will include a raffle, auction and casino, with live music from The Mojos and entertainment from magician Alfie Whattam.
All the money raised will help refurbish five labour-ward delivery rooms at York Hospital to improve the surroundings for mothers in the unit.
Tickets cost £60 and tables of ten are £550. Sponsorship opportunities are available and prize donations would be appreciated. For tickets, phone 01904 724521 or email chartityfundraising@york.nhs.uk.
