WATCHING my beloved hometown Bradford Bulls, whom I have supported since well before their earlier 1963 demise, being torn from pillar to post by businessmen, who are looking to make a quick few bob but have no deep-seated feelings for this great club, makes me realise how lucky the supporters of York's soccer and rugby league teams are in having local, passionate people running these clubs, and being prepared to back their clubs with their own money.

The Morrison's supermarket family have made billions over the years out of God's own city. Just a few spare back-pocket millions, which Sir Ken would hardly notice, would mean so much to that great rugby league city.
