MY 18-year-old daughter rang me in tears because she had lost her purse, with cash card, new driver’s licence, school bus pass, money and lots of other things in it.
Firstly, thanks to the unnamed person who handed her purse to the driver of the number six Transdev bus which she had been travelling on from town to Fourth Avenue. At 9.30pm there was a knock on my door, a man called Matt had arrived at his Transdev office to find the purse on his desk. After looking through it and finding my daughter’s address, he made a 16-mile round trip to make sure she got it back, and he was very worried that she might not be able to get home.
Above and beyond the call of duty, I think. What a lovely thing to do. Thank you, Matt.
