THORPE United Under-15s bowed out of the Garforth Junior Football League Challenge Cup after a 2-1 semi-final defeat at Farsley Celtic.
Corey Littlefield and Jamie Hardaker tested the Farsley keeper in the first half, while Thorpe felt they should have been awarded a penalty when Littlefield was upended in the box.
Thorpe keeper Alex Ward pulled off a superb save to deny Farsley as the home side threatened on the break.
Farsley took the lead with a bullet header from a well-struck corner on the stroke of half-time.
The second half saw Farsley use the elements to their advantage, keeping the visitors pegged back in the own half.
Thorpe defended well and kept Farsley at bay for 20 minutes, but they got a second goal from a well struck half-volley.
Jamie Hardaker pulled a goal back with five minutes remaining, but Farsley held firm to deny Thorpe another opportunity.
