TEN First World War soldiers who were killed in France almost a century ago have finally been found and identified, and will be laid to rest with full military honours.
The remains were among those found during construction work at the French village of Beaucamps-Ligny and they were formally identified after their surviving relatives provided DNA samples.
The men, six of whom were of Yorkshire, all served with the 2nd Battalion The York and Lancaster Regiment, a forerunner to the modern Yorkshire Regiment, died on 18 October 1914.
