A NEW community gardening group for children in York will begin this weekend.
The first seeds will be sown at an event between 10am and noon today for residents and families in Upper St Paul’s Terrace, supported by City of York Council, Smarter York and Edible York.
Flower beds have already been dug out and repaired by volunteers, and improvements have been made to the play area.
Coun Sonja Crisp, cabinet member for leisure, culture and tourism, said: “This is a great project to allow the local community to develop their green space into something they can use and value more.”
