PUPILS from St Martin’s Ampleforth beat local rivals Terrington Hall in the final of the annual sevens tournament at Mowden Hall, near Newcastle.
The boys won all their group matches and the quarter-final and semi-final in comfortable fashion.
The winning streak continued in the final, where they beat Terrington by 20 points in an impressive display of open and attractive rugby.
The team will now play in the IAPS Sevens at Oundle School and then the National School Boy Sevens at Rosslyn Park.
