GOOLE Museum will look at the town’s role as a port during the First World War in an exhibition called ‘Goole and the Great War’ between September 5 and November 18.
It is part of a series of events, exhibitions and workshops across East Yorkshire, Hull and North Lincolnshire to mark the 100th anniversary of the start of the First World War.
The series will also include ‘Keeping the Home Fires Burning’ at Beverley Guildhall from June to November and ‘In Memoriam, Reflections on War’ at Beverley Art Gallery from September 27 to November 22.
