A NORTHERN Soul and Motown event in aid of the pioneering research being done in York into prostate cancer is to be held this weekend.
The Spread Eagle in Walmgate will be the venue for the Charity Soul night, Classic Northern and Motown.
Admission to Saturday’s event - which will include sets from DJs Toc, Tony, Andy Hudson, Swish and Paul - is £3.
The night will start at 8pm and run till 1am.
Events have been held across the North East in aid of the work being done by Professor Maitland, director of the Yorkshire Cancer Research Unit, based in the Department of Biology, at the University of York.
