I WONDER how the coalition parties, and specifically the Lib Dems, feel now that the evidence shows that the economic cost of the new tuition fee system (with fees at £9,000) is likely to exceed the system it replaced (where fees were £3,000).
Like so many Coalition policies (for example, the bedroom tax and the benefit cap), it is proven as not only ideologically driven but also economically illiterate.
Broken promises and now a broken system.
