A TOUCH of glamour came to the Yorkshire Air Museum, with a student photoshoot.

Students from the School Of Make Up in Stockport organised the shoot with 12 models to make a professional portfolio for their work.

The award-winning training school students used the classic aeroplanes as the background for their latest fashion collection, which was inspired by 1950s styles in pastel colours.

Ian Reed, director of the museum, said this was not the first time the Yorkshire Air Museum had been used for such a purpose, as it was considered "a super site".

He said: "The museum site is very photogenic and it attracts a lot of fashion shoots. We are always happy to host these events, they bring colour to the place."

A spokesman for the school - former students of which have gone on to work in the television and fashion industry - said the exercise was part of students' training, and was one of a number of shoots to take place on location to encourage "students to work outside of their comfort zone in a professional environment".
