DOG lovers can bring a new puppy into their lives and help a blind or visually impaired person through a new scheme being offered by Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Organisers say the “Name a Puppy” scheme is perfect for people who cannot have a dog of their own. It challenges people to raise £5000 - the cost of caring for and training a guide dog puppy - a in return can be part of the puppy’s journey to becoming a fully fledged guide dog.
People who support the scheme will get regular updates and photos of their puppy and will have the chance to meet him.
Guide Dogs Community Fundraiser Sam Bradley said: “Do this and you’ll be helping us provide the best possible start for a puppy as it begins its journey into life as a guide dog. You’ll also make some wonderful memories when you meet the puppy your money has supported.”
