SO THE proposed takeover of Leeds United by Italian businessman Massimo Cellino has been blocked by the Football League.
This man has been in trouble in Italy because of tax evasion over the purchase of a yacht. How can this affect him paying £75 million to bail out Leeds United?
We are talking about something in the UK and he has proved he has the money needed to buy the shares for a complete takeover.
The Football League had clashes with Leeds in years gone by during their heyday under Don Revie.
Cellino committed a crime in Italy not the UK, so why is the Football League even taking this into consideration? Let the man take over so that he can pump some much-needed money into the club.
