WITH regards to Claudia Lawrence disappearance, I feel the police let down the Lawrence family and friends by concentrating on her love life, besmirching her character, rather than seriously looking into what happened to her at the time.
Five years have elapsed but let’s hope recent technology produces results.
They should have concentrated their search in the new university block in the process of being built.
The young man in the supermarket photograph (The Press, March 19) to whom they wish to speak should not take too much credence (shades of Jack the Ripper, when a man with a North East accent misled the police for months).
He may or may not have known her – was he looking for 15 minutes of fame?
Who knows, he may no longer be in the country; perhaps he was a student at university at the time?
Let us pray for closure for the family soon.
