COMPILATION records – they can be the scourge of the average. From Now 10,356 (will they ever stop producing this?) to 20 Tracks For That Mid-Autumnal Weekend, barely a week goes by without another Best Of being unleashed on to a tired audience.

But this one, a selection of live tracks from Dermot O’Leary’s weekly BBC Radio 2 show, has consistently broken the mould. And the latest collection, thankfully, continues that.
