FORTY years ago, a group of morris dancers got together outside the Lord Collingwood pub in Upper Poppleton to perform for the first time.
Four decades later the group - Ebor Morris - includes many original members and will gather again to dance at the pub and mark their anniversary on Thursday, May 1
The group has performed nationally and internationally over the years and dances traditional Cotswold and Yorkshire longsword dances.
On Sunday, May 4 the Ebor Morris dancers will then stage its annual tour of York's bar walls performing at various stages around the city starting 11am at Walmgate Bar and moving to Monk Bar, Bootham Bar and onwards.
