CHILDREN at a nursery in York have been learning about the importance of healthy living.
Staff at Happy Jays Nursery at Clifton Moor have organised various events to teach the youngsters about healthy, active lifestyles as part of their Healthy Body, Happy Me campaign.
Activities have included taking part in sports and games, with help from a staff member from Fitness First, to teach the children not to rely on televisions and computers for entertainment but to have fun whilst keeping fit.
The nursery which offers care to babies up to pre-schoolers is also holding a special breakfast at 10am today (Friday, March 28th), inviting the children and their parents and carers to join in to promote healthy eating.
