A FORMER airman has celebrated his 80th birthday with a visit to RAF Linton-on-Ouse.
Frank Hindmarsh, who served as an airman at the base 60 years ago, visited the base with his partner Helen and tried out the Tucano simulator.
They also took a tour of the facility, the Number 1 Flying Training School and the memorial room last week.
Group Captain David Cooper, station commander, said: “I was delighted to offer Frank the chance to reminisce about his times here at RAF Linton-on-Ouse. It was a pleasure to hear his stories about life in the RAF 60 years ago.”
