HAVING just negotiated the vehicle assault course that are the roads of Haxby and Wigginton, it occurred to me that the added hazard of the over-large speed humps could probably be removed as the potholes themselves are enough of a speed deterrent in themselves.
It is to be hoped that the proceeds from the ill-conceived Lendal Bridge closure could be allocated to the terrible state of the roads in the suburbs of York.
Also that the council gets a bid in quickly for some of the £21 million announced at the last budget supposedly allocated for this purpose.
