VOLUNTEERS and customers at seven of a North Yorkshire charity’s shops will become models for the day to raise funds for its work.
A fashion show featuring items from the St Leonard’s Hospice shops is being held on April 16, with items donated to the charity being displayed on the catwalk.
Organised by Sue Bonarius, who manages the hospice shop in Tang Hall, it will be at the Gateway Centre on Front Street, Acomb. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 7.30pm.
St Leonard’s Hospice retail manager Helen Moreton said: “Our generous supporters have donated a wide variety of items, so we have plenty to dress the models and make it a really great night.”
The shops involved are in Tang Hall, Acomb, Fulford, Haxby, Scarcroft Road, Selby and Pocklington.
Tickets cost £5 and include a drink, and are on sale from the shops and the hospice reception on Tadcaster Road, or by phoning 01904 786190.
