I KNOW it is only March, but I feel I already have to concede defeat in the race for The Press letter writer of the year 2014.
I feel I cannot compete against The Press favourites. These are R. Hutchinson who had two letters printed in one night and M. Robinson, who also had two letters printed in one night, three letters on two consecutive nights and four letters on two consecutive weeks.
When I asked for an explanation as to how this happened, I received no reply, even though I have two letters outstanding. I can only assume I am either out of favour or I am sending my emails to the wrong address.
AP Cox, Heath Close, Holgate, York.
• Editor's note: Mr Cox is not out of favour, as we hope the publication of his letter shows
