RECENTLY myself and presumably the other 53,000 residents in Ryedale received a large letter-sized envelope containing details of the 2014-15 council tax charges.
There were also another couple of leaflets inside the envelope, one of them being information about the new charges for garden waste collection.
This new charge of £27 per year is to help claw back some of the government funding cut backs.
The leaflet also explained that we would soon be receiving another letter through the post on how to subscribe to the scheme.
Did it ever occur to anybody at Ryedale that they could have saved a massive amount of money on postage by putting everything into one envelope?
I think some cost cutting training is required, after all its not rocket science.
Elaine Nelson, Sheriff Hutton.
