I THINK the problem with the Clegg v Farage debate is we now have an electorate who have had no schooling on the British constitution or principles of English law.

Extradition treaties are mixed up with arrest warrants, habeas corpus and the presumption of innocence is assumed under the Napoleonic Code.

Judicial review is confused with appeal. Prima facie evidence is discarded as a concept.

To the average man in the street now the debate is in a form of dialect he cannot understand.

This is as I predicted many years ago in order to steal freedoms from the electorate it is important to keep them ignorant of their birthright in democracy and law.
