DARTS fans in York are being invited to get “On The Road With Scotty 2 Hotty” this spring.
Scott Waites, the 2013 BDO world champion, is taking part in a ten-hour minibus tour of eight York pubs on Saturday, May 10, beginning in the Shoulder of Mutton at 1.45pm and ending in the Tramways WMC at 11.30pm.
Waites will take on five players with one leg of 501 at each venue and anybody taking part in the minibus tour, organised by York Darts Promotions, will be guaranteed a game against the Halifax-based ace. Places on the minibus cost £45 each and will include a free drink at each pub.
The full schedule is the Shoulder of Mutton (1.45pm to 2.45pm), Huntington Sports Club (3pm to 4pm), the Flag & Whistle (4.15pm to 5.15pm), Castle Howard Ox (5.30pm to 6.30pm), the Beagle (6.45pm to 7.45pm), the Green Tree (8pm to 9pm), the Ainsty (9.15pm to 10.15pm) and Tramways WMC (10.30pm to 11.30pm).

Tickets are also available for the Blue Bell Hotel Darts Championships grand finals on Saturday, April 19, where 16 qualifiers will be reduced to four players who will then get the chance to play top BDO quartet Waites, Darryl Fitton, Martin Atkins and James Wilson and decide the overall champion.
A cost of £3.50 will cover afternoon and evening sessions and tickets can be bought online at www.bluebellhotel.net or by phoning Hart on 07921 128063.
There are still opportunities, meanwhile, to take on former PDC Premier League stars Wayne Mardle and Peter Manley at Crescent WMC’s M&M Darts Show on Friday, April 25.
Qualifiers for the night will be held at The King William on Wednesday, April 9 and The Green Tree on Wednesday, April 16.
Tickets for the show can again be obtained from Hart or by phoning Neil Fairclough at Crescent WMC on 01904 622510.
