A MOTORIST lost control of his car and ended up in a hedge by a North Yorkshire church.
The blue Vauxhall Corsa left the road on Monday evening and was abandoned in the hedge on the grounds of All Saint's Church in Wighill, near Tadcaster.
North Yorkshire Police were called to the scene at about 8.30am yesterday, and tracked down the owner who arranged the recovery of the car, which suffered minor damage in the crash.
A police spokesman said the 20-year-old driver was not injured in the crash and nobody had been arrested in connection with the incident.
