TRADERS from around the world are descending upon the city centre today as the Continental Market arrives in York.
Running until April 6, the market is brought to the city by operators Market Place, and will feature a new addition in the form of chocolate brownie traders Brown and Blonde.
Market Place operations manager, Chris Hulley said: "Our traders shall be offering York a selection of flavours from all across the globe offering something for the whole family.
"It has been great to see all the attention this event has received so far and a number of new traders to our team will make it even more special.”
Councillor Sonja Crisp, cabinet member for Leisure, Culture and Tourism at City of York Council, welcomed the arrival of the market to Parliament Street, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming the Continental Market back to York.
"It is a firm favourite in the varied programme of specialist markets held each year and brings a truly global retail offering to our city centre.”
