RESIDENTS in East Yorkshire are to get their say on possible changes to council boundaries through a referendum.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has voted through proposals for residents in nine of its wards to have their say on whether they want to remain within the council’s borders, or be included in a potential expansion of neighbouring Hull City Council, through a postal vote.
Council leader Stephen Parnaby said: “It is disappointing that the issue of boundaries has again been raised and I feel the best course of action is to put this to the electorate in the area concerned.”
