Acomb Ladies II managed their first Yorkshire League division six win of the season when they beat an under-strength Horsforth II 2-0.
The Tangerines swept into an early lead through Rachel Williams and they doubled their advantage after the break with a well-worked goal by Andrea Williams.
Acomb Ladies I completed the double over Wakefield III in division one.
Having beaten them 3-0 at Oaklands last week, Acomb went to Wakefield in confident mood and, although they found the home side a tougher proposition this time round, they grabbed maximum points when Kerry Woods lifted the ball over the 'keeper at a short corner. The player-of-the-match award for Acomb was shared by 'keeper Sarah Milburn and midfielder Rachel Holmes.
Acomb Men II emerged from their lengthy festive break with a 1-0 defeat at Ben Rhydding in Yorkshire League division nine. Jamie Zillenson was Acomb's top performer.
Acomb Marcia Grey Mixed went down 3-1 at Slazengers on Sunday, Liz Harrison scoring the Acomb goal after good work by Matt Dickenson.
Steve Church made several fine saves for Acomb and Danny Brown put in some last-ditch tackles as the Wakefield side put on the pressure.
Acomb's cause was not helped when Ian Roberton was carried off in the second half with a twisted knee.
