A HARROGATE businessman is getting ready to ride the Tour de France route ahead of the pro teams, to raise money for Marie Curie.
Will Roberts is part of the Power Peloton, and will ride the 120-mile route from Leeds to Harrogate on Saturday and will need to keep up an average speed of 18 km per hour to finish ahead of the peloton, or race organisers will make them withdraw from the route.
Harrogate jewellers Ogdens hosted a reception for Will, to help in his efforts to raise £19,000 for Marie Curie, enough to fund a Marie Curie nurse for a year.
