A GIANT community art work which will be on show for fans and TV cameras at the racecourse at the start of the Grand Depart in York was displayed for the first time last night.
The Road Through York is made up of 320 panels, and was painted by 400 people across York, and will be assembled in front of the Racecourse’s Grandstand later today ready for the race to start tomorrow.
The painting was assembled last night at the Railway Institute, to show off the David Hockney style image of some of York’s iconic landmarks.
