CROWDS gathered at Huntington Stadium for York’s Grand Departy celebration.
The live music concert last night featured performances from Union J, Russell Watson, Rough Copy, Kian Egan of Westlife, York-based singer songwriter Alistair Griffin, who wrote the official Tour song, Ollie Marland, The Loveable Rogues, Altered Images, Brother Beyond, The Blow Monkeys and The Overtones.
There was also a performance by York teachers Robin Parmiter and Ian Wilson, aka Disco Mister, whose World Cup song reached the Top 100 in the UK Chart. A share of the concert proceeds went to The Bobby Moore Fund, Bowel Cancer Research and the Ann Maguire Educational Fund, which was set up in memory of the murdered Leeds school teacher.
