FLAG A' continued their good run of form in the John Smith's Men's Darts League with Russ King (138 finish) and Mick Wilsden (19 darts) helping them to a 6-3 win over Shepherds.
Rich Saville (19) and Chas Ramsden (17) were Shepherds' best performers.
After last week's disappointment, Acomb's Heath Scaife (107 finish for 15), Steve Evans (180), Keith Turner (20) and Mark Mason (18) gave their team a 5-4 win over second-placed Cygnet despite the efforts of Neil Caywood (21), Mark Allen and John Mooring (180).
Sun's Tony Cooper (2 x 21 and bull finish) couldn't prevent Volunteers extending their lead at the top as Mark Thornton (19), Mark Hartley (16) and Mick Harris (17) helping their team to a 7-2 win.
Crescent's Kelvyn Frankel (18), Paul Bartnett (21) and Paul Keers (21) steered their team a 6-3 victory over Flag B' whose best picks were Gordon Foster (21) and Graham Hudson (20).
Britannia's Steve Lane had a 20-darter but Rose ran out 7-2 winners with Graham Wilkinson included a 180.
In division two, New Inn's Phil Brook (two-dart 80 finish for 23), supported by Chris Warner (24) and Dave Ginty (24) helped their team beat Dringhouses 6-3.
