I HAVE been walking my dog in and around York twice a day, every day, for ten years. We have met, at a guess, 20 Staffordshire bull terriers over the years, and none has shown any aggression to either me or my dog.
They are lovely, friendly dogs and it saddens me that people are so easily led into assuming that they are all aggressive. My dog once required 11 stitches for a wound caused by a Dalmatian, and eight stitches caused by a Border terrier. I would not be so arrogant to assume that all dogs of these breeds are inherently aggressive.
I have never actually heard of a Staffy attacking anyone. The stories in the news have not concerned them, so why do they get such a poor deal?
