OLDER members of Knavesmire Harriers strode out in the Yorkshire Veterans' Cross Country Championship in Rotherham.
The main awards for Knavesmire went to M40-49 quartet of N Strange, B Atkinson, K Langhan and B Sciveley, who took the team bronze medal.
Super Veteran Margaret Metcalf, who is enjoying superb results this winter, took gold in her age group and H Dobson showed class with a gold finish in the M70 section.
Other finishers for Knavesmire in the ladies event were Fiona Strange (13th), Joy Allen (44th) and in the mens' race, D Chambers (82nd) and R Gott (71st).
The Veterans now have their own Grand Prix series, with the firstb race scheduled for Horsforth.
Knavesmire runners were also in action at Huddersfield in the Pennine 10k event. Ian Anderson clocked 36 minutes 59 seconds to finish seventh. M Fawcett won the M65 age group in 49.07. E Gradwell took fifth in 49.07 while D Darton (111th) and C Lea (134th) completed the Knavesmire line-up.
