A LATE goal saw York Schools Under-12 footballers bow out of the Michael Dale Trophy with a 2-1 defeat at Nottingham.
Josh Stilgoe's run from his own half saw him weave past several before sliding a pass to Tom Reay, who netted.
But sloppy tackling just before the break saw Nottingham draw level and, with five minutes left the home side grabbed the winner.
James Hall was unfortunate to finish on the losing side after thwarting countless Nottingham attacks.
York travel to Wakefield today for a league match.
