NORTH Yorkshire snooker pro Paul Davison starts back on the qualification trail when he heads to Prestatyn, Wales, for the early rounds of the China Open.
The Pickering player kicks off against Alex Borg in a best-of-nine encounter tomorrow. If he's successful, the 35-year-old will face off against Jamie Burnett the following day.
Davison reached the final stages of the Royal London Watches Grand Prix, last October, and is desperate to taste snooker's high life once again. It was the first time he had reached the finals of a ranking event in a 15-year career.
He is currently provisionally ranked at number 83 in the world.
