HELEN Shilleto scored twice as City of York Ladies II won 3-1 at Harrogate III in division two of the Yorkshire League.
Shilleto opened the scoring and, although Harrogate soon equalised, Steph Young restored York's advantage after a penalty corner on half-time.
A fine individual effort by Shilleto brought York's third goal after the break to make sure of the points.
In a closely fought game in division five, City of York Ladies IV beat Ben Rhydding V 1-0.
The teams were evenly matched, but York created marginally more chances and were rewarded six minutes from time when Jo Gray scored from the penalty spot after a goal-bound shot had been stopped on the line by a defender's foot.
City of York Ladies first team's North Hockey League game against Harrogate was postponed because several York players were involved in the Under-18s Indoor Hockey National Finals in Birmingham.
The division four game between Ben Rhydding IV and City of York Ladies development team was also called off.
